Zendaya turned heads at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles for the 2021 BET Awards, where she paid homage to the one and only Beyoncé

The Emmy-winning star hit the red carpet Sunday night, wearing a longer version of the same purple Versace dress Beyoncé wore for her first solo performance at the 2003 BET Awards.

“Crazy in love,” Zendaya captioned a photo of her look on Instagram. She paired her dress with purple heels and teardrop earrings and wore her hair in a sleek low ponytail with a middle part.

Zendaya’s look came straight from stylist Law Roach, a judge on the HBO Max ballroom series Legendary. “Get you a stylish with an ARCHIVE!” Roach wrote on Instagram, sharing a slow-motion video of Zendaya in the dress.

Beyoncé was 21 years old when she wore a Versace mini-dress, with lime green and pink straps, at the third annual BET Awards in 2003. Her then-boyfriend, Jay-Z, joined her on stage to perform “Crazy In Love,” the breakout single from her debut album, Dangerously In Love. Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle cheered Beyoncé on while watching from the audience.
