MONICA FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM EX-NBA PLAYER SHANNON BROWN

Monica is calling it quits after almost 9-year marriage. She’s already filed divorce paperwork earlier this month. Monica and Shannon have a5-year-old daughter named Laiyah together, and she has 2 sons from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko. There are no details as to whether she’s seeking child or spousal support. But there had been talk for months of the two being separated, but Monica shut the talk down by posting snaps of her and Brown together on the Gram. 

SALT-N-PEPA Lifetime Miniseries On The way

Lifetime has announced a miniseries, that will follow the story of nursing students Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton as they journey through the world of hip hop, after recording music for a school project. The series will executive produced by the members of the group as well as Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere. Additionally, Lifetime announced a biopic on gospel group, The Clark Sisters, which will also be produced by Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit.

Is Usher Working On A ‘Confessions 2’?

Fifteen years after the release of Usher’s Confessions, the possibility of a follow up has fans rejoicing. Usher posted an Instagram photo of himself in the studio beside a white board with the words “Confessions 2” at the top.

I know for fact he is currently in the studio recording. My good friend Ryan Toby; from Sista Act Two and City High; who is crazy with the pen and who wrote several songs on the Confessions album and wrote the intro the Midday Breakroom is in the studio with him. Oh and my big, little brother who is an amazing producer landed a song on Usher’s new album. With all Usher has been through as of late with folks accusing him of giving them herpes and his recent divorce, Confessions Part II would be fire!!!
