Word On The Curb: March 26 Smollett Criminal Case Dropped, Famed Attorney Michael Avenatti Indicted, Oprah Winfrey Partners With Apple

Jussie Smollett will not be prosecuted for allegedly faking a racial attack, because all charges have been dropped!!! Jussie and his lawyers will address the media at 8:45 AM PT.

Jussie and his lawyers went to court this morning in Chicago, where he was facing 16 felony counts of lying to police.

Jussie will surrender his $10,000 bond. But, that’s it. State’s Attorney, Kim Foxx, told Chicago police she was dropping the case because Jussie would have only gotten community service if convicted and she said he has already performed community service so there is no point in prosecuting him. Word on the Curb is Chicago police are “furious” and feel something fishy is going on with Kim Foxx.

Famed Attorney MICHAEL AVENATTI Indicted!

Michael Avenatti, who represented Stormy Daniels but more recently known for bringing forward new evidence resulting in the 10 count  sexual abuse indictment of R Kelly. Well now he has been indicted and being accused of extortion and fraud – could this derail the case against R. Kelly.

R. Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, argues that Avenatti’s indictment questions his credibility; specifically the tape that was turned over could’ve been altered before it got to prosecutors. So if Greenberg can create reasonable doubt in the jury’s mind as to authenticity … he could get R. Kelly off. Hey, we’ve seen it happen before.

Greenburg threw shade at Michael tweeting,

“Because I don’t hold grudges I am happy to offer #Avenatti My legal assistance since I hear he needs a good lawyer”
