Wendy wants to share all but will only do it if she is granted a prime time hour long slot. So her team has been reaching out to networks to see who is interested. Word on the Curb is Gayle King declined the interview as she allegedly perceived it is too “trashy” for morning television. Gayle’s media profile was heightened after her famous interview with R. Kelly. So far they have approached the OWN network, ABC, NBC, and CBS. Wendy is insistent about it being big named anchor and a prime time spot. Robin Roberts may be the next option.
Dwyane Wade Set To Release Memoir
Dwyane Wade just announced the release of his official memoir titled “3 Dimensional”, will focus on the “essential principles”, of his life and career, specifically the rise from the south side of Chicago to the NBA. It will feature a lot of little-known stories and exclusive images. “3 Dimensional” is set for release October 22nd.
Actress Buys Billboard To Get Tyler Perry’s Attention
Racquel Bailey’s dreams big and went to the extreme to get Tyler Perry’s attention. She bought two billboards close to his studios in Atlanta that said, “Attention, Mr. Perry cast Racquel Bailey is your next leading lady”. The billboards were $2K each.
Tyler shared his feelings on Instagram saying in part:
“This is not the way to get my attention if you’re looking for a role in one of my shows. Please DON’T DO THIS, SAVE YOUR MONEY!! This is the third time that someone has done this. PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I’m sure you can use that money for a better purpose.
I love that you want to work with me, and I love that you invest in yourself. But when you do things like this it puts my team on high alert and makes me look at you sideways. I know the message that you want to send is a positive one, but this comes across as the opposite.”
Well it worked sort of because the studio called her in for an audition, although she hasn’t heard back on whether she got the part.
Racquel’s responded to Tyler saying she took a leap of faith wanting to show her children that she went for it all and chased their dreams, hoping they will do the same. As the saying goes, “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take
