Queen Latifah plans to give back to her hometown

Queen Latifa is preparing to give back to her hometown, Newark, New Jersey. She plans to build 76-unit residential town homes outside New Jersey’s downtown. The project is set to be complete and ready for the public by December 2020 and 2021. The $14 million project will include 20 town homes for a family of three, along with a three-story mixed used building with an additional 16 units. 60 units of the townhouses will set at market value, while 16 units will be affordable.

Market value homes will be available to the public by December 2020 and the affordable homes will be available by 2021.

R Kelly’s Germany Gig Cancelled

The venue in Neu-Ulm, Germany canceled its contract with the singer’s tour organizer after R Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

He still scheduled for an April 14 show at the Sport Halle Hamburg arena, but it’s possibly in the process of being cancelled as well.

R. Kelly’s attorney hopes to ask the judge for his passport back and permission to travel to the country for work. Interestingly enough, the singer is still booked for gigs in Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands.

He was released yesterday, his first stop was McDonald’s, the same one folks say he frequented often for years picking up young girls. Attorney Michael Avanattis is a violation. His release could be short lived, if he doesn’t pay back child support in the amount of $161,663 by March 6.
