Whitney Houston has become the first Black artist to earn a third diamond-certified album.

On Wednesday the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Legacy Recordings announced that Houston’s album, “Whitney,” has reached diamond status which is equal to selling 10 million albums!

Whitney Houston passed away in 2012 after  officials say her cause of death was due to “drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”
