
Thursday morning flights from West Palm Beach to Hartford, New York, and Newark will be the first in the area to enter a new quarantine order.
Wednesday morning, the governors of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut issued a travel advisory, effective Thursday morning, for all travelers entering the area from COVID-19 hotspots; Florida is included on that list.
Upon arrival, passengers must quarantine for two weeks, in an attempt to prevent a second spike in coronavirus cases in the area. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis enacted a similar policy for travelers coming from the Tri-State area on March 23rd.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says enforcement will be a self-responsibility, though also threatened violators could face fines, in some cases as high as $10,000.
