Usher provided a rare update about his family life and how the dynamic changed after welcoming daughter Sovereign Bo with girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea last September.

The “Yeah” singer is the father of Usher V, 13, and Naviyd, 12, of whom he shares with ex Tameka Foster.

“Man, my boys are really enjoying having another girl in the house,” Usher gushed to Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday. “Me and Jenn are very, very happy to celebrate this period in life.”

The eight-time Grammy winner touched upon what it was like to welcome a baby during a global pandemic and revealed, “Sovereign was really, like, the silver lining for us [in the pandemic], and for a lot of people who had new babies this year.”

“There’s been a lot of loss,” continued Usher. “so really happy to just be celebrating life.”
