There’s a little less horror on Halloween this year.

Universal Orlando Resort announced on Friday it will be canceling Halloween Horror Nights this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. On Friday, Florida surpassed 400,000 cases of COVID-19.

Officials for the theme park said they will “be focusing exclusively on operating its theme parks for daytime guests, using enhanced health and safety procedures already in place.”

This is the first time in 30 years that the event will not go as planned. Park officials are expecting to host the event in 2021.
