“Troy’s” Barbecue Is “Hiring” 20+ Jobs!

A popular family restaurant is in need almost two dozen new employees. They attribute their growth to not only food and a loyal customer base but their commitment to being social responsible.

Troy’s Barbecue has locations in Boynton Beach and Boca Raton but this election season you’ve probably noticed the food trucks filled with both crew and popular menu staples on the road.

“Since the pandemic we’ve given away over 46,000 meals. We’ve also collaborated on book bag give-a-ways and health drives and now we’re encouraging people to exercise their right to vote,” said Anthony Barber, Troy’s Barbecue owner. “I’ve giving back to the community that gives to me.”

Barber’s commitment was evident on Oct. 25 at a Souls to the Polls event in Boynton Beach. Attendees say the company’s presence goes deeper than serving food.

“We’re talking about immigration, healthcare, work – affordable housing. It’s important. And we need to vote,” said Jennifer Jones, New Florida Majority community leader. “There’s so much at stake right now.”

Barber says his company’s dedication to serious causes amid the pandemic and the election season is driving his customer base.

“If the people aren’t present, they can’t feel you. They don’t know who you are,” added Barber. “They don’t know that this is the person that I purchase from and this person also supports my right to get out what I need to do. This person is encouraging me to be present.”

Currently, Troy’s Barbecue location in Boynton Beach, Boca Raton and on-the-road food trucks need 20 new workers. Positions include general manager, assistant managers, shift leads, dishwashers, cooks and bartenders.

Additionally, a third Troy’s Barbecue location in West Palm Beach located at 3950 Georgia Avenue will open in approximately a month.

”We need crew members, carvers, severs and hostesses,” said Eboni Edge, Troy’s Barbecue manager.

The company plans to have a total of five restaurants in the near future. Barber’s message to other business owners in South Florida, “show up and be more present.”
