This hurricane season has been so active. Record start to the season. Mainly due to La Niña in the pacific and record warm water temperatures in the Atlantic. If your wondering if climate change is causing this. It’s not. While global warming is probably influencing this season, the reason why it’s been so active is because of La Niña and that the Atlantic is in a warm phase. However global warming is making hurricanes stronger, wetter, slower, and longer lasting. There becoming less frequent due to increases in wind shear.
