ABC/Randy HolmesTrey Songz has caught a major break in his alleged assault case, Pitchfork has learned.

According to the outlet, the R&B crooner is no longer facing a lawsuit, which stemmed from a February 2018 incident in which a woman named Andrea Buera claimed Songz attacked her at his home.

Buera's attorney reportedly filed a request for a dismissal of the suit with prejudice on Monday in Superior Court of Los Angeles County. As a result, Buera cannot bring the case before a judge again.

As previously reported, Buera claimed Songz choked her and repeatedly punched her in the face at his Hollywood Hills home. The "Chi Chi" singer was then arrested on a felony domestic violence charge in March 2018.

However, he denied the allegations on Twitter, writing, “I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.” The criminal case was subsequently dropped.

Songz has yet to comment on the latest dismissal of the lawsuit.
