Sylvie’s Love star Nnamdi Asomugha has joined the cast of Netflix’s serial killer thriller, The Good Nursereports Deadline.

The film tells “the true story of the pursuit and capture of Charlie Cullen, a nurse who is regarded as one of the most prolific serial killers in history,” and is based on the book by Charles Graeber.

Cullen — who was a married father and a once trusted caretaker — is now known as the “Angel of Death,” having been implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients over 16 years. Asomugha is set to play one of the police detectives who investigates the deaths.

Deadline also reports Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver has signed a multi-year deal with Apple. Believed to be in the eight-figure range, the deal includes developing both television and film projects via her Tracy Yvonne Productions company. Oliver is widely known for writing Girls Trip, which made her the first Black woman to write a film that grossed over $100 million.

And finally, the critically-acclaimed series Eyes on the Prize is returning to television next month. According to a press release, the 14-part series will broadcast on WORLD Channel and PBS beginning Sunday, April 4, the anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The documentary tells “the definitive story of the Civil Rights era from the point of view of the ordinary men and women, whose extraordinary actions launched a movement that changed the fabric of American life and embodied a struggle, whose reverberations continue to be felt today.”

Additionally, the first six episodes of the two-part series, Eyes on the Prize I, are available for free on, and the PBS Video app for a limited-time, beginning April 10.
