Former Georgia state representative Stacey Abrams has been appointed the first chair for race and black politics at Howard University the school announced.
Reportedly Abrams will foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the university on critical issues of race and black politics.
Abrams had an unsuccessful run for governor of the state of Georgia back in November.
