The South Florida Fair is returning in its normal form in May.

After announcing in late December that the South Florida Fair would hold a mini fair from Jan. 15 until Jan. 31, the organizers have announced that the full-fledged, traditional fair will be scheduled for May 7-23.

“We have proven the ability to make adjustments as needed,” said Vicki Chouris, the fair’s president & CEO. “In the name of safety, most people realize why we decided to scale back our traditional fair but we also know they were disappointed. Now they can get two different types of fairs for the price of one, all in the same year.”

As announced in its press release, the fair in May will include some 200 rides and games and all the other fair favorites.

Although the original fair will return in May, the South Florida Mini Fair will still take place between Jan. 15-31.

Everyone who buys a ticket online from the South Florida Fair’s website for the mini fair will be granted one Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday admission to the fair in May.

Both fairs will happen at the South Florida Fairgrounds at 9067 Southern Blvd.
