Add a dash of sass and a spritz of self-confidence – not to mention a wellspring of poise and managerial ability – MoShay LaRen is a favored eighteen year broadcast personality. Her enhanced profile is a notable and well-deserved feat in a major city renowned for brotherly love and sophisticated soul, Philadelphia and the Gateway city of St. Louis. This dynamic broadcaster has also expanded her portfolio into television, hosting lifestyle and entertainment segments for both the Fox and CW Networks as well as wealth building education through Real Estate investing. LaRen is known to take the mic out of the studio and around town as a local voice of the community and mistress of ceremonies at a variety of concerts and special events.
Listeners already beguiled by her upbeat on-air style would not be surprised to learn that LaRen takes care of business behind the scenes as well. Mo’Shay founded the, Love Yourself Campaign which focuses on inspiring women of all ages and ethnicities to begin the process of healing through the restoration of self-love. Her efforts at reaching at-need communities nationwide has gained the attention and support of both politicians and celebrities. The Love Yourself campaign has earned LaRen a myriad of acknowledgements and recognition including: 2011 Next Generation of Leadership Rising Star Award presented by Mayor of Philadelphia and Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown; 2011 Women of Achievement Award presented by Nu Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. to name a few. As well, LaRen’s advocacy earned her a seat on the Board of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where she served for six years. LaRen is also affiliated with the organizations Women Against Abuse and Women in Transition in her mission to transform women’s lives.
Raised in the town of Willingboro, New Jersey, LaRen focused her sights early on a broadcasting career. LaRen cultivated her fluid voice and engaging manner, easily jumping into the competitive radio and TV industry. Today LaRen continues her passion for radio as the new voice of middays for Alpha Media’s, X102.3 (WMBX) and is always seeking more opportunities to expand her community reach and challenge herself as a communicator. With the aid of her personal mantra — “I am deserving … I am worthy..I am esteemed … I am worthy” –  MoShay LaRen’s horizons are unlimited.
