U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the U.S. economy has “never worked for black Americans”, at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network annual breakfast.

This comes from a new Pew Research survey that shows African Americans have a more negative view of capitalism than they had just 3 years ago.

The survey showed that 40% of black adults said they had a very or somewhat negative impression of capitalism, three years later that number jumped to 54%.

The view of capitalism increased with all races, African Americans were the ones that viewed it more
negatively in 2022.
