Saweetie flipped a Bay Area classic for her new song, “Tap In,” sampling Too Short‘s 2006 single, “Blow the Whistle.”

“Tap, tap, tap in,” she raps on the new single from her upcoming project Pretty B****h Music, which already reached the top of Apple Music’s New Music Dailyplaylist.

The “Icy Girl” and her pretty girl gang deliver a high-energy dance performance on an iced-out basketball court, while she rocks her long nails, long hair and bamboo earrings.

Saweetie is becoming the sampling queen, reaching back to classic singles from the 2000s hip-hop era. She sampled Khia‘s single, “My Neck, My Back” in 2017, followed by her 2018 double-platinum single “My Type,” which sampled Petey Pablo‘s 2003 single, “Freek-a-Leek.”

After three years in the game and two EPs, Saweetie is ready to build her famous pretty girl motto into an empire. She recently teamed up with clothing brand PrettyLittleThing for a second collection, in the process raising over $150K in support of Black Lives Matter.

Saweetie is also nominated for Best Female Hip Hop Artist at this year’s BET Awards, following her memorable performance with Lil Jon and Petey Pablo at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.
