Diddy‘s 2021 is off to a tumultuous start after the home he co-owned with late partner Kim Porter was ransacked by burglars.

TMZ reports that the break-in of the 51-year-old “Victory” rapper’s LA pad was discovered by one of the his caretakers on Monday, who alerted police.  Diddy, born Sean John Combs, was not home at the time.

Police say the thieves were able to gain entry by prying open a side door, which triggered the home security system.  It is currently unknown what was taken, but police found evidence that the thieves were able to comb through the household.

Diddy’s family is reportedly looking around the property to determine if any valuables are missing.

TMZ reports that the home is the same residence Porter unexpectedly passed away in back in 2018.  The actress, whose death was determined to be from natural causes stemming from pneumonia, dated Diddy off and on for 13 years.

They shared three children together, 14-year-old twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila Star and 23-year-old son Christian Combs.

The news of the break in comes days after another famous rapper’s house was targeted by burglars.  Dr. Dre, who was hospitalized last week because of a brain aneurysm, learned that four thieves had attempted to break into his Los Angeles estate as he was being treated at LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  The suspects were apprehended by security.

It is not believed at this time that the two burglaries are connected.
