Yesterday, Fort Lauderdale experienced the rainest day in Florida history, according to meteorologists. Reportedly a “1-in-1,000-year rainfall event” occurred that initiated a flash flood emergency. Fort Lauderdale recorded totals of almost 2 feet of rain which resulted in their airport closing.
According to the National Weather Service gusty winds, small hail, and even isolated tornadoes are possible today. (Thursday)
