A recent report stated that R. Kelly was beaten while behind bars, and no one raised a finger.

Now, R. Kelly’s lawyer is speaking out about the attack.

Kelly’s legal team filed a claim stating that the Metropolitan Correctional Center’s surveillance footage shows the attacker, identified as Jeremiah Shane Farmer,  “walking a great distance before carrying out that act, without any opposition.”

Michael Leonard, Kelly’s lawyer also wrote, “An unresolved issue remains as to whether MCC personnel encouraged, and then allowed, a beating of Mr. Kelly to take place. That alone merits an evidentiary hearing.”

R. Kelly’s legal team will question Farmer in attempt have Kelly released on bond.
