“PBSO Deputy” Dies After Battling “COVID-19”!

Sheriff

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their own.

Deputy Maurice Ford, 50, died after a battle with COVID-19 on Thursday, the sheriff’s office said.

He started with the sheriff’s office in 2006. He worked in the Corrections Division at the West County Detention Center.

Ford leaves behind a wife and son. Funeral arrangements are pending.

He’s the second deputy to die from the virus this year. Sgt. Diaz Ayala, 38, died in April.
