Palm Beach County administrator Verdenia Baker says a new emergency order is coming on Friday that will tighten restrictions for late-night restaurants
Baker said the previous order from 10 days ago which restricted restaurants and businesses from 11 pm. to 5 a.m. led to some confusion.
The new order will clarify some points and require restaurants to stop on-premise serving and consumption by 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. Takeout orders will still be allowed.
Baker made the announcement during a round-table discussion with the Palm Beach County Business Development Board.
Palm Beach County leaders are holding a news conference at 4 p.m. to discuss the changes.
Baker says they include clarifications on which businesses cannot reopen and an extension of the face mask mandate for the next 30 days.
Florida has surpassed 400,000 coronavirus cases, with Palm Beach County seeing a little over 29,000 cases.
