The Palm Beach County School District will hold a virtual meeting Wednesday afternoon to talk options for reopening.

The county’s Reopening of Schools Task Force will make a presentation to the board.

The Florida Department of Education is now requiring school districts to submit final plans for reopening for approval no later than July 31, approximately three weeks from now.

The state will require school districts to keep schools open to students five days a week. That doesn’t mean students need to be back in the classroom every day in the fall, but the option needs to at least be available.

The virtual meeting between the task force and the school district will begin at 2 p.m.
