CNN reported ”Pamela Hutchinson, famed R&B singer with family group “The Emotions,” has died at the age of 61, according to a post last Sunday on the band’s official Facebook page. The iconic R&B group from the 1970s 80s and into the 90s were known for such hits as “Best of my Love“, “Don’t Ask My Neighbor“ and they sang background to Earth Wind and Fire’s mega hit “Boogie Wonderland“.
“Pam succumbed to health challenges that she’d been battling for several years,” the post read. “Now our beautiful sister will sing amongst the angels in heaven in perfect peace.”
The post read Hutchinson died last Friday, while asking fans and friends to respect the family’s privacy.“
