The proclaimed unbothered King Omarion is back with his new single, “Involved.”
The Grammy-nominated artist sings on the upbeat track about making the right decision to end a relationship he knew he needed to walk away from.
“Ain’t no issue / I don’t miss you / Kinda simple / But it’s meant to,” sings Omarion. ” Yeah, that’s old news / Let me show you / Out of mind, out of sight / Like a plane, I took flight/ since we not involved.”
“Involved” follows Omarion’s “Can U Hear Me,” featuring T-Pain, released at the top of the year. Both tracks will be featured on his new album, The Kinection, which arrives on October 30.
“New project is coming. 10/30,” said Omarion in an Instagram video Sunday. “It’s really dope because its a part of a docu[mentary] of everything that went on in 2019, as far as the Millennium Tour and that coming back together. “
“The Kinection is the soundtrack to…how it’s all connected,” he continued in the video, which appears to be taken from his Instagram Live. Omarion, along with his fellow B2K members, are up for Top R&B Tour at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards Wednesday.
The Kinection will be Omarion’s first independent effort and his first album since 2014’s Sex Playlist was released under Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records.
As for Passport, his joint album with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and producer James Fauntleroy, Omarion said its “still in transit.”
“In the meantime, and between time,” Omarion said fans can look forward to a few “treats” of new music, videos and other endeavors arriving later this week, including talk about a book.
