Cardi B‘s husband Offset was detained and released by Beverly Hills Police Department Saturday after driving through a rally in support of President Donald Trump, according to police.

“Artist and Philanthropist Offset was detained by the Beverly Hills Police Department following an attack by aggressive Trump supporters,” stated Offset’s PR director, Derrian Perry, in a statement obtained by ABC News. “He was released shortly thereafter. Offset thanks his fans for their support and wishes everyone peace and safety during these trying times. He encourages everyone to get out and vote because nothing changes if nothing changes.”

A now-viral video clip from the Migos rapper’s Instagram Live shows his encounter with Beverly Hills Police Department officers, including one who can be heard asking him to get out of his car.

Offset refused, stating it was “because you’ve got guns out,” with an officer replying “That’s my choice.” Another officer then says they received reports that Offset was “waving guns” at people out of the vehicle window. 

“You know who I am? I’m Offset from the Migos,” the rapper continued, claiming officers “watched somebody beat my car up with a flag.”

An officer then steps forward and puts his hand inside the vehicle in attempt to unlock the door, prompting Offset to state he’d “sue” the officers, before he was pulled from the car. 

In a statement, the Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed Offset was not arrested but “detained for investigation” for “[approximately] 15 mins.”

The BHPD also tweeted that a 20-year-old passenger in Offset’s vehicle named Marcelo Almanzar — reportedly Cardi B‘s cousin — was arrested on two charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
