Nicki Minaj has revealed the sex of her firstborn child.
On Thursday, the “Yikes” rapper shared a few congratulatory messages and well wishes she received from her famous friends, including Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West, Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci, model Winnie Harlow, and Nicki’s “Tusa” collaborator, Karol G.
“Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time,” Nicki shared on Instagram. “It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
The thank-you is apparently the first time Nicki’s publicly revealed her baby’s sex — and it’s a boy.
Nicki shared a photo of a handwritten note from mother-of three-Beyoncé that read: “Welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family, B,” while another note from the West parents-of-four read, “Congrats! We love you, Kim and Kanye.”
Karol G sent Nicki a card that read: “Congratulations on your new baby boy…he’s sure to fill your hearts with love.” She added her own message to the card, writing, “Nicki, Congratulations! May God bless you and your family! Love you, Karol.”
Nicki gave birth to her first child with her husband Kenneth Petty on Sept. 30 in Los Angeles. The 37-year-old rapper confirmed her pregnancy in July with a series of stunning baby bump photos, including a glamorous shotcaptured by the famed photographer David LaChapelle.
Nicki and Petty tied the knot in October 2019, after having dated as teenagers and then reconnecting in 2018.
