Cheers to another Friday of new music, this time from Russ, Lil Baby, Melii, 6Lack, and newcomer Morray.
Russ and Lil Baby joined forces for the first time on the new collaboration, “Ugly.” Both rappers appear to be having a ball in the vide,o throwing up money as a slew of women dance around them.
On his verse, Baby asserts his dominance and flexes about his jewelry, luxury cars and financial gains, while subtly addressing his infidelity. “Diamonds in my teeth / You don’t see ’em, I don’t speak / I done went up three M’s this week arguing with my girl and then got caught up with a freak,” he raps.
Up next is Harlem singer, songwriter, and rapper Melii with a nostalgic music video for her braggadocious new track “You Ain’t Worth It,” featuring Grammy-nominated singer 6LACK.
The Des Gray-directed visual was filmed in Los Angeles and captures the ups and downs of a tumultuous relationship between scenes of Melli in a few old-school looks at a photoshoot with 6LACK. The song’s honest lyrics focus on heartbreak and looking toward the future, because everyone isn’t “worth it.”
And last but not least is North Carolina rapper Morray. Following a co-sign from his hometown hero J. Cole, the 19-year-old surprised fans with a visual for his new single, “Big Decisions.” The video finds the “Dreamland” rapper having a fun-filled day at a bowling alley and at a block party with the loves ones he continues to support.
“Doing everything the right way / but the wrong way so damn inviting/ I got a family to feed, I got a family to feed/ I got a family with needs,” Morray sings on the chorus.
