A new song from DMX‘s posthumous album, Exodus, has been released.
The track, titled “Hood Blues,” features X alongside Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, and Conway The Machine, a trio otherwise known as Griselda, as they rap over a simple rhythm.
The record, which was co-produced by Swizz Beats and Avenue Beatz, includes some of the late rapper’s signature ad-libs and growls in addition to his own verse.
“Hood Blues” is the first track to be released from the upcoming star-studded 13-track album, which features collaborations with some of the hottest names in the industry including Jay-Z, Nas, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, and Usher, to name a few.
Exodus is set to be released Friday, May 28 through Def Jam, DMX’s first with the label since 2003’s Grand Champ.
DMX, born Earl Simmons, died April 9 after suffering a heart attack. He was 50.
