Surprise! Nas has some new music coming out.
The 46-year-old rapper, whose full name is Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, dropped the bomb on Monday. In a tweet shared on Monday and attached a 41-second clip of himself in the studio with Hit-Boy, a producer who has worked on records with well-known entertainers like Lil Wayne, Beyoncé, Travis Scott, Chris Brown, Eminem and more.
“I’ve been trying to do this with this man for years,” Nas says of the producer in the video. “We’ve got the time, that alignment.”
The “If I Rules The World” MC revealed the release date as August 21 but did not specify if he would be releasing a song or an album.
Nas’ last album was the 2018 self-titled record Nasir and if the upcoming release is an album it will be his thirteenth.
