Ahead of his new album, A Gangster’s Pain, Moneybagg Yo linked up with 16x-Grammy winner Pharrell Williams

On Sunday, the “GO!” rapper shared an Instagram video of himself and Pharrell vibing out in the studio to a track that may be featured on Bagg’s album.

“Certified Neptunes,” Bagg wrote in the caption — a reference his nickname, Certified Speaker, and Pharrell’s production duo, The Neptunes

Fans in the comments seem pretty excited about Bagg and Pharrell’s unexpected collaboration, sharing dozens of fire emojis and calling their meetup “legendary.”  Pharrell is clearly as excited to work with Bagg.

“Moneybagg is my favorite, favorite, favorite, right now,” Pharrell said during an episode of the OTHERtone podcast last month. “Moneybagg Yo, to me, is like the pocket finder. Whenever he decides that he doesn’t want to rap anymore, he should go into denim…that [man] has so many pockets. His nickname should be Denim! Moneybagg Yo is something else.”

Moneybagg Yo is one of the most consistent rappers signed to Yo Gotti‘s CMG record label, which stands for Collective Music Group.

“Finishing Touches. A Gangster’s Pain. This album already [platinum]. #CMGRecords,” Gotti wrote on Instagram Sunday, sharing photos of himself in the studio with engineers.

A Gangster’s Pain drops Friday.
