Memorial, GoFundMe created for 10-year-old killed in Fort Pierce hit-and-run

A memorial and GoFundMe have been created in memory of the 10-year-old girl who died after being hit by a vehicle while getting on a bus in Fort Pierce Thursday morning.

A memorial began to grow along the side of the road where Yaceny Berenice Rodriguez-Gonzalez had her bus stop Thursday evening, a WPBF 25 News crew at the scene discovered.

People began placing stuffed animals, flowers and balloons along the road.

GoFundMe was created by the family’s church pastor to help her parents. As of Friday morning, more than $1,700 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal. To donate, click here.
