Megan Thee Stallion has donated over $8,000 towards funeral expenses for a fan who died unexpectedly last week.
On Tuesday, Megan got word from Twitter user @Selenachichis about the passing of her best friend, Shaniah Leigh Scales, who also enjoyed Megan’s hot girl anthems.
“Meg, we lost a hottie. Our best friend passed away unexpectedly,” @Selenachichis tweeted. “They absolutely loved you. Listening to [your] songs was something we did every time we were together. We’re helping their family with funeral costs. We started a GoFundMe & are halfway there. @theestallion.”
Megan then asked, “how much do y’all need?” after which she was told, “We need 8K.” Within minutes, the Houston rapper tweeted a trio of blue heart emojis and a screenshot of the fan’s GoFundMe page to show proof of her $8,155 donation.
According to the campaign’s page, Shaniah died in her home on Thursday, June 10th, and will be remembered for having “one of the purest hearts this world has to offer.”
As of Wednesday morning, Shaniah’s GoFundMe page had reached $16,170, with donations currently disabled.
