
Legendary emcee Black Thought has delivered his new single, “Good Morning,” featuring Pusha T,Killer Mike, and Swizz Beatz.
The Roots frontman set with the tone with a lyrically vicious verse about his hometown in Philadelphia. “Yo I’m from the home of the ghost-es, water plugs, and wokeness/ Water bugs and roaches, drugs and overdoses/ How do you approach this? Philly is where the dope is,” he raps.
Meanwhile, Pusha T comes in with, “I only do features to keep hitting my mark/ And show you [rap guys] you ain’t good as you thought.”
Killer Mike declared himself the “official unofficial mayor” of Atlanta, rapping, “While these chump rappers rap about the [stuff] they cop/ Man, I cop my block, and this [here] don’t stop.”
“Good Morning” comes from Black Thought’s highly anticipated Streams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane & Able, which is set for release on September 18th.
