While Blake Jr. walked away from the officers and began entering his car, officer Rusten Sheskey fired seven shots, leaving him paralyzed. The shooting was caught on camera, and it led to nationwide protests. In the immediate aftermath of the announcement, Blake Jr. nor Blake Sr. has made a public statement. It is unclear if they will pursue further legal action.
