After failing to drop his DONDA album on July 23, as previously promised, Kanye West has announced an album release event set in Atlanta this Thursday, a day ahead of the project’s new release date, now set for Friday, August 6.

The event, titled Kanye West Presents the DONDA Album Release, will take place at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 5 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the rapper has been holed up as he puts the finishing touches on the anxiously awaited collection.

Tickets for the Thursday event will go on sale today at 10 a.m. ET at Ticketmaster.  Ticket prices will range from $30 to $75.

DONDA, named after West’s late mother, marks West’s first album since 2019’s Jesus Is Born, a gospel-inspired album recorded with his Sunday Service Choir.
