New safety measures in place ahead of the Vice Presidential debate between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris on Wednesday October 7th.
The Commission on Presidential Debates will now require a plexiglass to separate the two during the debate and they must be 12 feet apart. The candidates will also be tested for COVID-19 before the debate starts.
They will not be required to wear a mask, and will have to leave out the pre0-debate handshake.
The debate starts at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday night.
