Lawyers for disgraced actor Jussie Smollett filed their appeal of his conviction
Wednesday, looking to keep the Empire star from going back to prison.
Smollett was released a year ago, after serving just six days of his sentence of 150 days.
The actor was convicted after faking a hate crime back in 2021.
Detectives in the city of Chicago concluded Smollett lied about the entire incident ad that he paid 2 men $3500 to stage the fake attack.
Honestly, I would like to sit down with him and ask Jussie one thing……
