President Joe Biden has announced plans to host a special Juneteenth concert at the White House.
The Juneteenth event, which will also happen in the midst of Black Music Month, will feature such celebrities as Jennifer Hudson, Audra McDonald, Ledisi and Method Man, the White House has revealed. Also set to perform are the Fisk Jubilee Singers, the Hampton University Concert Choir, the Morgan State University Marching Band and the Tennessee State University Marching Band, per the White House.
The celebration, which is set for Tuesday, will mark the first Juneteenth event at the White House. It comes two years after Biden declared it a federal holiday.
