Jeremih reportedly hospitalized and on a ventilator due to COVID-19

Prayers and messages of support are pouring in for “Birthday Sex” rapper Jeremih, who is reportedly hospitalized due to COVID-19.

TMZ reports that the artist, whose real name is Jeremy Felton, has been placed on a ventilator and is currently in the ICU. 

A number of heavy hitters in the music industry have rallied for the 33-year-old singer, asking fans to not only pray for the singer’s recovery, but to take the pandemic seriously.

“Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now,” tweeted Chance the Rapper on Saturday. “I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”

50 Cent also asked fans to keep his “Down on Me” collaborator in their thoughts.

“Pray for my boy @jeremih he’s not doing good,” 50 relayed via his personal Instagram. “This covid s*** is real [praying hands emoji] he’s in ICU in Chicago.”

Artists like Toni BraxtonBig SeanMeek Mill and Hitmaka have also taken to social media to express their concern and ask fans to keep Jeremih in their prayers.

As of early Monday, requests to the rapper’s management for comment have gone unanswered.  His condition currently remains unknown.
