Jeremih has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home following his weeks-long battle with COVID-19.

In a statement to Billboard on Saturday, December 5, the “Birthday Sex” singer, born Jeremy Felton, said, “First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful.”

“I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude,” he continued. “A special thanks to Chance The Rapper50 Cent and Diddy for their love and support. I would also like to thank all my fans and people around the world who prayed for me.”

“I’m getting stronger everyday, and look forward to spending time with my sons,” he added.

Jeremih’s hospitalization was first revealed mid-November. At the time it was reported that he was in critical condition after being transferred to the ICU and put on a ventilator.

It was later announced by his family via Entertainment Tonight that he had “been transferred out of ICU. He will spend the rest of his recovery time in a regular hospital room… The true healing begins. Thank you all for your prayers and wishes.”
