Jenifer Lewis to open up about past struggles, abuse and addiction on TV One's 'Uncensored'

TV One has tapped legendary actress and singer Jenifer Lewis for their next episode of Uncensored.

The episode featuring the black-ish star will air on Sunday, October 11 at 10 p.m. ET followed by an encore presentation at 11 p.m. ET.

Lewis, who discussed her struggles in Hollywood in her recent memoir The Mother of Black Hollywood, will share more about her troubled upbringing, being molested by her Pastor, her past sex addiction, and her fiery desire to be a star.

The actress will also share her passion for activism and why it’s critical that the Black community goes out and vote.

TV One’s Uncensored explores the private lives of some of today’s most notable personalities. The auto-biographical series also has these celebrities reveal the “secrets to their success, obstacles they faced and how they’ve navigated the perils of social media that helped – and sometimes haunted – their careers.”

Other talent featured this season include Larenz TateDebbie Allen and Omari Hardwick.
