J. Cole is planning to drop new music before the end of the year through his alter-ego, kiLL Edward.
Over the weekend, the North Carolina rapper decided to reactivate his alter-ego’s Instagram account for the first time since 2018. Cole’s kiLL moniker was the only featured artist on his KOD album.
According to kiLL Edward’s official Instagram story, captured by HipHopDX, fans should expect “something special” real soon.
“Damn, [I’ve] been off for a while, but ima make sure we end 2020 [with] something special!” the message read. “Stay tuned, hope y’all ready!”
Fans have been awaiting Cole’s next project since his July EP, Lewis Street. It featured the singles “The Climb Back” and “Lion King on Ice,” which will also be featured on his upcoming album, The Fall Off.
J. Cole has yet to announce a release date for his highly-anticipated sixth studio album, but he’s not in any rush. “No date for the album yet, taking my time, still finishing,” Cole previously wrote on his personal Instagram account.
