Yesterday the Department of Education said it would cost $42 billion dollars for the public service loan forgiveness program to wipe away student loan debt.

CNN says nearly  610,000 student loan borrowers have received loan forgiveness since October 2021, when the Biden administration temporarily expanded eligibility.

It’s all up to the Supreme Court to decide if the President’s program is lawful, they are expected to issue its decision on the case in late June or early July.
