Illinois State Prosecutor Doesn’t Feel The Need To Charge R. Kelly Anymore

The criminal prosecutor in Cook County in the State Of Illinois has dropped ten criminal sexual abuse charges against disgraced R&B Singer R. Kelly.

The King Of R&B was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for a guilty conviction back in 2021 and is also facing between 10 and 90 years next month when he is sentenced for a case he was found guilty on in Chicago last year, the state’s attorney is dropping charges brought against the former superstar singer.

 

State’s Attorney Kim Foxx said during a press conference:

 

“Due to the extensive sentences that these convictions hold, our office has decided not to continue to expend our limited resources and court time with the indictments that we previously charged Mr. Kelly, he is looking at significant jail time. We believe that justice and accountability has been served.”

 

Robert Kelly (R. Kelly) will be sentenced on February 23rd in Chicago.
