“I Can See Clearly Now’ singer Johnny Nash dies at age 80

Johnny Nash, the singer and songwriter of the hit song “I Can See Clearly Now,” died Tuesday at the age of 80.

According to reports he died of natural causes at his Houston home. Nash was born in Houston and was gained popularity after he released “I Can See Clearly Now” which spent four weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November of ’72.
