Homeless Man Saves Woman Who Jumped From Bridge

According to reports, a unidentified woman jumped off the Washington Avenue bridge near the University of Minnesota in downtown Minneapolis. The woman survived the fall and was then dragged down by the currents.

A homeless man nearby saw the woman and  jumped into the body of water to help her onto the shore.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and a psychiatric evaluation.

Police said they offered the homeless man shelter, but he declined and returned to his camp underneath the bridge.
