Here’s a roundup of new music and videos released Friday to kick off the first weekend of May.
Oscar and Grammy winner H.E.R. and gospel artist Tauren Wells premiered the video for their “Hold Us Together (Hope Mix)” duet recorded for the soundtrack of the Disney+ film, Safety.
“I will trust in you and know that you are with me forever/I’ll confide in you ‘cause you’re the only answer that matters,” H.E.R. sings in the opening line of the uplifting track, about staying positive during difficult times.
H.E.R. is also featured on the long-awaited second album from Shelley FKA DRAM. Released five years after his debut album, Big Baby DRAM in 2016, the new, 10-track self-titled project also includes collabos with Erkyah Badu and Summer Walker.
As previously reported, on Thursday Gucci Mane announced his new album, Ice Daddy, and revealed the first photo of his four-month-old son, Ice Davis. On Friday, he dropped the first single from the album, his X-rated track “S*** Crazy,” featuring Big 30. In the video, the rappers flaunt their bling and stacks of cash while chillin’ at a Miami mansion rounded by a trio of red Rolls Royces.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Afrofusion star Burna Boy is also living the good life in his new “Kilometre” video, flying in a private jet, playing golf and rapping in a sports car hovering high above ground.
