Happy Friday Co-Workers! The Midday Breakroom Are Now Open! Let’s Hangout Until 3PM…

Good morning and welcome to The Midday Breakroom where you can get good vibes, conversation, and music. Today is, National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NGMHAAD) is observed annually on the last Friday of September. This is a day designed to build awareness and increase education about this disease and help find ways to eliminate it. Back in 2008, the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) launched this observance day to recognize the disproportionate impact of the epidemic on gay men.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. While this is an issue most people would rather not talk about, we can NOT afford to NOT talk about it. According to the National Coalition Against domestic violence, 1 The statistics show that 1 in 3 women will suffer domestic violence at some point in their lives…to give it even more perspective…every 15 seconds a woman is being beaten in the United States. Sadly, 1 in 15 children is exposed to domestic violence. The point is, domestic violence affects not just individuals…it affects families and communities…from the inner city to the suburbs! We must not be silent about this.

Join us for an evening of conversation and stories of advocacy and survival! RSVP BELOW:
